As an event photographer in Brussels I was very lucky to document an event co-organised by Insead Alumni organisation in Belgium and BNP Pariba Fortis on the topic of sustainability. The main speaker was the inspiring Philippe Joubert – a French Brazilian business executive focused on building sustainability into the heart of business strategies to enable long-term growth.
Sustainability is a challenging topic for all of us and for business and opinion leaders specifically. Hence, this is subject of many board discussions nowadays. Board Members today, should have the necessary insights to integrate sustainability into their governance responsibilities and own the first practical tools toward becoming “Earth Competent Boards”.
The Keynote by Philippe Joubert: “Business as usual is dead” was followed by a roundtable moderated by Professor Luc Van Liedekerke, with testimonials of Martine Reynaers (Reynaers Group) and Natasha Lippens (Finasucre).
The 2018 Insead event held in “Cercle de Lorraine” covered the following important topics:
Self-Managed Organizations: Latest Management Hype or Brave New World? with Prof: Noah Askin, INSEAD, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, CEO, Solvay and Oskar Berger, CEO, W. L. Gore & Associates.
“Shooting for the Moon: What does it mean for leadership when you set the most ambitious goals for your company?” with Bernard Delvaux, CEO of Sonaca Group and Pieterjan Bouten, co-founder and CEO of Showpad.
